Kyberkeskus was founded in Tornio in 2015 as part of the Yrittäjämäiset oppimisympäristöt ("Entrepreneurial learning environments) initiative.

In the beginning we built our experience by serving customers who were mostly internal to Lappia. Over the years our operations expanded, and our customer base came to include external clients, for whom we have, for example, set up websites, built computers and networks. Our customers have included a municipality, who we helped with their procurement project, and businesses and individuals in the Kemi-Tornio area who we have helped with a wide variety of tasks.

The following year Kyberkeskus' first online store was launched. The online store has gone through many changes, lately in 2024 when we rebuilt our whole website from the ground up. Our online store has offered various different services, even our own console lineup. In recent years our focus has shifted more from products to providing services.

In 2023 Kyberkeskus moved from Tornio to Kemi.
